Overseas shopping—tools edition. A pipe bender is one of those purchases I’m really glad I made.

When I looked back at some of the older videos to double-check, I was surprised at how rough they were.

After that, it comes down to balancing price and performance.
Some people judge whether the equipment will pay for itself or not.
But then you wonder—what does “pay for itself” actually mean?
It could be easier-to-calculate revenue, shorter work times, improved quality leading to future customers, and so on.
In my view, if you’re doing work you love and want to do it better, you should always be investing in equipment and tools.
From researching to purchasing to actually using it, every step becomes part of your experience.
Whether something actually works or doesn’t will change how you feel about your own work.
