Finally… my Sony RX100 has passed away…
It was a camera I received from a super web designer, but it seems the camera wants to retire soon from such a harsh environment.
In times like this, I used various points to buy a used camera with points. My next work compact camera is Sony Cyber-shot RX100V DSC-RX100M5
I use the Sony α7C for video and top images too (‘ω’)ノ

I’m going to do an OH on the Brembo.
Hmm, pretty niche—a 64mm pitch 30-34 caliper… really.
I was surprised when I looked closely.
It’s an anodized aluminum caliper, so there’s no groove corrosion. It’s in very good condition. We need to remove the difficult Brembo casting discoloration.
That’s how we finished it. Please definitely use baking soda + wet blasting (*^-^*)
The pistons are lubricated anodized aluminum, so they’re in good condition. We reused them.
Always inspect the dust seal and oil seal after opening.
The split O-ring is also on order (‘ω’)ノ
Brembo’s instructions and service manual for this caliper say not to split it. It seems like just supplying this O-ring would be enough… If this O-ring fails, does the caliper need to be replaced?
I wonder if Brembo Japan’s OH includes replacing this O-ring… it’s a mystery.
We apply CCI MR20 and assemble. The Brembo will feel more like a true Brembo piston action.
Good piston action means the bike’s push and pull are lighter, and the touch is solid.
The bolts had stainless steel tapers, so I’m replacing them with steel (trivalent black) based on my preference.
I have bitter experiences with stainless, so I prefer iron as much as possible… I like it.
It’s not brand new, but I think it looks dramatically cleaner.
