Boom! We machined the caliper support and sent it out for anodizing. Just kidding! With 40mm pitch, Brembo parts bolt right on.
AP Racing really does look rugged and cool. Brake pads and overhaul kits are pricey though…
The existing brake hose won’t reach, so we’re making a custom one.
First, we’ll make a bracket to secure the TEE-FIT. It’s not just about fixing this part; if you also consider using a front stand, the layout becomes easier down the road.
Choosing the right fittings is always a puzzle. At first I thought straight → 45 degrees → back to straight, but when the front compresses, there’s too much slack, so that’s out.
Brake hose and cable routing looks sharp when it flows in a gentle curve.
It’s a bit hard to see, but angling the 45-degree fitting slightly outward looked the cleanest. So we’re going with 45 degrees.
On the brake master side, we use a side-neck banjo.
I know you might think straight would be fine, but “this subtle curve just looks cool,” you know?
Always check brake hose routing with the suspension fully extended.

As always, it turned out pretty subtle. When it comes to customization and modifications, I’m in the “the less obvious, the better” camp.
We always think about preserving serviceability as much as possible. A single brake hose can make the front stand unusable, fluid changes a hassle, or caliper removal tedious. It’s not just about bolting on parts—choosing components with future maintenance in mind makes all the difference.
