Recently we got a consultation about it kind of cutting in.
We pumped up the tire and took it for a test ride just to be safe.
There’s this indescribable sticky, claylike handling. Seems like it might be flat. (by Decoboco standards)
The steering isn’t heavy either, so what could it be? We’ll check all the components.
We replaced it the other day, so there’s no particular problem and the grease feels nice and adequate.
The races have no dents or anything.
We packed it with Newtech NC100 grease and assembled it.
Good on bearings,
good on axle shafts,
good on pedal levers,
and you can use it on bolt threads too.
It’s a bit softer than the spec suggests, so it blends in easily and doesn’t create much resistance—a really good grease.
Now for some admittedly rough measurements—but since it’s assembled, we can’t help it.
The inner tube is fine too.
Since we have it disassembled this far, we’ll change the fork oil.
Let’s bleed the air with a vacuum pump.
While we’re at it, we can do some cleaning and other tasks at the same time, so we save time and boost efficiency.
Watch out—if the vacuum is too strong, it can suck in too much.
The wheel bearing was just a bit too tight, but otherwise there was nothing wrong.
We also cleaned the back of the fender without touching anything.
We took it for a test ride and it’s fixed. Strange, isn’t it?
There was a slight odd feeling when I loosened the axle a bit. I wonder if something this small could cause that kind of problem.
It’s a little mysterious, but it’s definitely fixed now. (‘ω’)ノ
