While doing an oil change… I happened to notice.
“The plug cap has been really loose lately,” they said. When I touched it…
“Whoa? It’s totally loose.” Surprisingly, the spark still jumps across. I was genuinely impressed.
The terminal had worn down significantly from overuse.
I checked the most worn spot on the removed terminal.
By the way, a new one measures 6.3… which is why it’s loose.
Be careful not to over-tighten with pliers when fastening.
By the way, only the NGK Terminal Nut NT4245 (aluminum) is available.
The list price is 25 yen per piece. I had it ordered from Proto in the past, so it’s still in stock now.
If you want some, you can easily get them by going to your regular shop or a mass retailer and asking them to order NT4245 from Proto.
Shops and such might want to order them in bulk since they’re inexpensive.
