The merits of the SJ-4570 are “thinness when joined, balance of bonding strength, and minimal adhesive residue.”
• Thinness when joined: Other dual locks tend to add some thickness.
• Balance of bonding strength: It’s not too strong, not too weak—it clicks together with a satisfying snap.
• Minimal adhesive residue: Cleanup when you peel it off is really easy.
I’ve used a lot of dual locks, but for my purposes, this is the best one so far.
0.05–0.10 mm is pretty tight tolerance… the shims sold are in 0.05 mm increments.
Some bikes spec up to 0.15 mm.
Valve clearance that’s too tight is the worst.
Too loose is no good either, but… you want it just right.
It’s rare to see something this clean. It’s really shiny and I’m amazed.
I cleaned it up a little bit.
