Back to the carburettor work—it looks brand new now. Feels great.

This time, thankfully the float valve area is new!

Future task: I need to adapt the old metal or tin valve here to a modern rubber one. Since Decoboco doesn’t have many GR71 customers yet, I’m not fired up about it.
Parts like this can be polished and reused if they’re only slightly stepped. *Only the ones with light scratches, mind you.

This is hard to see in the photo, but when I screw down the float valve seat, you can see it tilts to the right.

Cylinders 1–3 are fine, but only number 4 tilts. It should be okay, but I’d rather do the work now than regret it later.

I ground 0.2 mm, then 0.2 mm again, repeating until it was straight.

Marking the accelerator pump discharge direction with a marker makes adjustment easier.

According to the manual: “Start the engine and check the fuel level.”
Pretty vague, right? Straddling it? On the sidestand? On a racing stand?
Well, I’ll take it as a reference.

The current FL value and

I adjusted from the current actual fuel level.

This time it’s a “let’s go full power!” plan. The jets are already changed. The air filter is different too, but… I’m not sure? Same?

The inner tube length is different. This looks good.

I installed it and balanced the carburetors.
