When you gather all these parts, it’s exhilarating! You’re shocked when you add up the cost! The world has become so convenient with lighter, smaller things, hasn’t it?

• Okada Projects V-PLUS (step-up kit)
• Okada Projects Plasma Booster (multi-spark)
• Motogadget M-UNIT (older model) ← There’s a reason I chose the older model. More on that later.
• PAMS MOSFET regulator
• SHORAI battery
• Kawasaki Ninja H2 left handlebar switch
• Some off-road bike right switch
• CB1100 SC65 starter relay
• Motogadget M-LOCK
• Ape electronic horn
That’s about all the electrical parts there are. If you cut back on Okada Projects products, there’d be even fewer. I thought, old bikes are great!
The amount and layout of harnesses in old bikes had a lot of waste from a modern perspective, and there were various shortcomings. There are reproductions available, but since they have to be made equivalent to the originals, it’s tough on the sellers too.
I had some stock on hand, and since it’s the same as the GS1000S, I went with this.
Left-side consolidation would have been nice too, but there was the kill switch issue… It comes with a mirror holder, which is nice.
Starting with the inner fender. It needs to be three-dimensional or there’s a risk of tire contact. When I searched around, I found images of people using flat panels, but do they not have contact issues?
Since my fabrication skills are very low, I proceeded with a puzzle-style approach that’s hard to mess up.

Time passes… evening. I laid it out like this.
Everything consolidated under the seat. Nothing visible from the side.
The SP2 will be two-tier. The MOSFET goes in a cool spot near the sensor stand.
After that, I’ll hide it so it’s not visible from the side, cover it with a lid from above, and make it removable with a one-touch pop!
