There was a parts ordering mix-up, so I’m assembling the carburettor partway through.

Since cylinders 1-4 and 2-3 have separate fuel supply, it’s pretty straightforward.

All four cylinders checked out fine.

I clean each one thoroughly and apply oil layer by layer.

I wipe down the throttle cable and oil it too.

The fork gets the dust seal removed, cleaned, and oiled. The right side might be leaking—I need to check that.

The shaft is still usable.

The front caliper isn’t as rusty as I expected. Since it’s an anodized caliper, it moves without any issues.

It’s in pretty sharp condition. Well, I’ll clean it up anyway.

Cast calipers look better when you coat them with a light layer of oil—it helps hide imperfections.
But really, after washing, a light coat of oil keeps dirt from sticking and keeps everything looking clean longer.

Still a temporary assembly, but I’ve removed the rust from the disc, painted the inner surface, and replaced all the bolts.
Cleanliness starts from the ground up. It looks like it’ll be done sooner than expected.
