The brake hose contacts the oil cooler, so we’ll also be changing the layout.

I want to keep the Moriwaki slider intact, so I’ll check the best position and first create clearance on the cowl side.

I’ll punch out this kind of material too. A hole saw won’t work in this position, and I don’t like Velsan because it’s dusty. Having the right tools really lets you work quickly, cleanly, and smoothly.

I’ll cut the fastener bracket, weld it, and fix it in place.

That’s how it goes.

I’ll grind it and remove the heat discoloration.

It mounts in a pretty tight spot. I didn’t want to drill holes in the cowl, so I used existing holes. (I only drilled one new hole.)

It went on smoothly.

Checking it, it’s pretty tight. The oil cooler sticks out, and it’s quite snug overall.

Loosen the cap and jack it up.

I’ll reuse the fittings that are still good. Strangely, they came out cleaner than new ones. Easy-cut stainless corrodes readily.

Any other configuration won’t work, so I went with the Suzuki style.

Now nothing interferes.
All done!
