I’m going to take a quick detour. The TMR-MJN is back, so we’re moving on to some detailed work.
I’m going to make a simple silencer component. Punching out the sheet metal.
Then I punch out the center and do some burring.
Making a pipe with a modest three-roll bender.
Then weld it up and we’re done.
Inlet side. I’ll pack stainless steel wool in from here and adjust the fit.
Outlet side. Since it’s punched, the wool shouldn’t come out too much.
Now for an oil change.
Let’s swap out the drain plug too while we’re at it.
The tail light connector is corroded, so I’ll replace it. Almost there.
