Let’s install the Z1R fairing. ↑ This is the positioning jig.
We’ll use scrap stainless steel pipe for simple positioning.
We’re making it flexible enough to allow for adjustments.
It’s pretty analog—we’re bending it here and there and taping things up based on a rough guess.
We bent the pipe in 10-degree increments and welded the rib-reinforced bracket.
We’re going with a co-fastening strategy with the headlight. This gives us flexibility.
We fixed it using the rib on the fairing side.
Still figuring out what to do with the bottom side.
With the temporary assembly, it’s got a suspicious look—you can’t tell what vehicle it is.
