I really dislike Kawasaki’s lower seal. Finally found a thin lip seal.
Now we can assemble it.
Perfect fit! This way the seal won’t make it unnecessarily stiff.
Generally, on Kawasaki’s lower side, the frame side appears to protrude. Grease can leak out easily, and it might also cause extra stiffness.
Let’s assemble it using Newtech NC100 grease.
We’ll also adapt a different seal for the upper side. Resin is fine, but just to be sure, you know?
It’s sticking out a bit too much, so let’s machine it down.
Huh? Wait… the Gokkin Gokkin is assembled? With the adapted front parts, there’s some rubbing at the handlebar lock points.
I see! Let me lower it a bit more.
The fork is also complete.
Nobody asked me to, but finding just one seal was quite a struggle. I keep striving daily so that the finish improves even a little and future assembly becomes easier. That’s all for now.
