Let’s continue from yesterday.

The rear caliper looks pretty rough, but surprisingly the pistons are only corroded on the outside.
The operation seems fine. I’d like to replace the disc too, but other expenses are piling up, so let’s just replace the pads.

After washing and coating it with long-term rust preventative oil, it covers things up pretty well. The nipple is rusted, so I wonder if it’ll loosen…

I’ll use the usual flanged hex bolts for the caliper bolts.

Moving to the front wheel… no runout, looks good.

The front air valve isn’t pointing down either.

Hole cleaning—a service that’s now on Decoboco’s Deco-mainte menu. Quite a bit of debris comes out.

Normally we don’t remove it because the seal can warp, but this time I had to check to be safe…
Looks good, so I’m relieved. Plus a light oiling.

Let’s clean this hole too.

Let’s clean the speedometer gear as well.

Clean the inside and apply a light oil, and it’ll move smoothly.

Let’s oil the inner cable once in a while too.

The inner tube is badly rusted, so we’ll use it until it starts leaking. I’ll smooth it out a bit.

The inverted fork has a fixed inner tube, so the same spot wears out. The right side has lost its plating and the base metal is showing through. It’s almost at the limit.

Let’s clean and oil both sides anyway.

I’ll polish this area nicely too.

There’s a bit of runout… hmm.
