Hmm… the corrosion is pretty severe. We’re already running into trouble.

The power of rust is amazing… really. Nature’s own threadlocker.

We’ll polish it and apply light rust prevention. We’ll run the shaft through to check if it’s tight, and if so, we’ll replace it.

The wheels have no runout and are in good condition.

It’s unusual for a Marchesini to have the air valve at the bottom. This one will need a weight.

We’ll clean out the shaft passage too. I think that’s good for all vehicles.

Basically we don’t peel the seals, but since we might paint the wheels in the future, if the bearings are usable, we’d like to reuse them.
If there’s corrosion on the balls, we’d definitely replace them, but these are fine for reuse.

Considering they’ll be rotating, we added a light coat of NC100.

The rear sprocket—I’ve been making mistakes on this one a lot lately… and it’s another Marchesini.
Sorry, it’s a 3R, so it’s 6-hole.
We’ll see you again soon.
