We welded the TI silencer inlet at an angle for a clean installation.
The inlet section isn’t visible under the cover anyway.
Of course, we want the bracket to be floating.
There’s nowhere to hang the bracket and no existing modifications, so this bike gave us plenty of challenges.
The customer wanted a silencer cover, so we modified the stock cover.
A new one costs over 30,000 yen, so it seemed wasteful, but modifying the existing one is better than making a new one. Here’s how we cut it.
We also fabricated a carbon cover mounting bracket for easy removal and installation.
The nuts won’t roll around, and since we bent them, no positioning is needed—it’s a natural result. I often think about whether modifications that hurt serviceability are really the way to go.
We covered the existing bracket holes with push rivets. Lightweight, easy to remove with a push, convenient, and low-cost—it’s the best solution.
Once we removed the sticker, it looks like it could be stock—a sophisticated, mature finish that gets a perfect score.
