The license plate position is a bit awkward. I really hate having to use nuts and washers in spots where your hand can’t fit.
I cut the plate with a shearing machine and welded the nuts on in a pattern. Now it’s much easier to work with.
Bent a round rod, cut the plate, bent the ends for strength, machined the collar, welded it all together, and finished with grinding.
The reach is a bit long, so we should fine-tune it. We still need to figure out how to mount the phone. For now, this is what we’ve got.
