We’re putting this on hold for now due to material and scheduling constraints. Work will continue. 
The stock part didn’t pass inspection, so we fabricated a replacement. The nut is secured. 
We relocated the wobbly analog oil temperature gauge. This time we used a carbon plate. We’ll handle the meter assembly frame mount another time. 
Here’s how it looks. 
We shortened and thinned the nuts and bolts to avoid contact. M8 gets a 12 mm hex width and M10 gets a 14 mm hex width. This makes it smaller and lighter. 
Thanks to the step, we were able to move it inward. 
We ran the wiring. Is it 2.5 sq? Since we jump from 2 to 3, we’re reusing wire from the junk pile. 
There was a spot where the cover barely touched, so we milled it down 1.3 mm. 
The bolts arrived, so we swapped them out and it looks clean now. 
The torque rod was long, so we cut it and welded it with plenty of bevel.
