We received a request to fabricate hoses when replacing the brake and clutch master cylinders.
Nissin masters are popular. The appeal is the reasonable price and the fact that switches, tanks, and other components are already assembled.
For the TEE FIT mounting point, we’ve recently switched to using stainless steel with spot-welded nuts for easy attachment and detachment. We also make sure it doesn’t interfere when the front stand is raised.
We made the master bracket from stainless steel as well. We could have lightened it more, but since this was work done while you waited today, we kept it solid.
Since we dislike nuts, we spot-welded these too.
The mesh hose outer covering has good slip and excellent texture. Mesh hose without covering is like dragging a file around, so we really can’t recommend it.
Plus, without the covering, dirt clogs up and the hose looks very dirty.
We got nervous about the lightening holes during machining and stopped after two passes.
Basically, we don’t do this kind of work while you wait, so we’ll need to keep your bike for the work.
