We had a leak from this connection, so we had to disassemble everything.
This seal has a cylindrical shape with two O-ring-like steps—a pretty robust design—but it’s been the same since 1989…
Only #2 had a different needle position.
Instead of a spring retainer (plastic), it has a W/S, and the E-ring groove has worn down so the E-ring had fallen out.
#4’s O-ring was crushed and torn. I thought it was quite a sharp piece…
Once we disassemble to a certain point, cleaning takes up about 80% of the work.
