CB750F Flat-Rate Motorcycle Inspection & Front Maintenance (Stem+)

DSC_2045
We’ve obtained the inspection, so now let’s move on to front maintenance.

DSC_2049
A beautiful CB750F in excellent condition.

DSC00414
We hand-turned four nuts total, including both sides.
It’s good we caught that.

DSC00416
When lifted, the condition is quite severe.

DSC00418
Heavy and stiff—definitely not in a condition for smooth riding. Based on the grease condition, it appears considerable time has passed.

DSC00437
The customer requested conversion to angular ball bearings on both top and bottom. We’ve made the change with NC100 grease.

DSC00430
It’s reassuring to check the seal condition.

DSC00431
I really like this seal design. The Kawasaki press-on type is quite troublesome to work with.

DSC00439
No significant wear visible.

DSC00446
The distance collar was rattling badly—yet the bearing still runs, which speaks to its excellent quality. We’ve adjusted it and the issue is now resolved.

DSC00444
The fork oil is quite dirty. It had a WP spring installed.

DSC_2052
When servicing the front end, always suspend it to avoid putting stress on the harness and other components.
After a test ride, we’ll be done.
