Since you requested mini maintenance, let’s get started on the work.
The sidestand is low on oil. Since it moves and has play, I’ll reduce the play as much as possible while keeping it from becoming too stiff, so that neither the frame nor the stand wears excessively.
The stand side will open up somewhat in that U-shape and will wear over time.
Looking at the numbers gives us peace of mind—the back should be close to the original dimension, and the difference is about 0.2 mm, so I’ll press it back roughly using either a vise or a press.
The frame is approximately 10.22 mm. Since the surface isn’t fully flush yet, I’ll just check it.
I’ll add thickness with a 0.5 mm shim. Calling it a sidestand shim adjustment sounds pretty cool, doesn’t it?
Please keep the shift arm as close to 90 degrees as possible.
