The other day, we received a request for an inspection and mini maintenance on this GSF1200. This time, the owner wanted oil-cooled maintenance.
The generator damper was quite hardened and had quite a bit of play in it.
The connector shows no corrosion, so we’re in good shape.
We removed the engine hanger and reassembled it in a position with good seating and proper assembly.
When you think about why this is 11.5 mm, it’s probably inevitable.
Let’s use the later-model engine damper. It offers better workability than the old type and better bolt torque management.
Since this is a part we replace regularly, this evolution is natural and really helpful.
