So we have a request to install a direct battery relay.
Lately we’ve been using D-brand relays a lot.
 

 
The package design is pretty sharp.

As for the benefits…
• Resonator box • The relay isn’t on the light side—that’s about it.
Just installing it isn’t fun, so I want to go clean, simple, and fresh.
With a direct battery setup, it looks cleaner if you don’t mount it on the battery terminal.
 

 
The insulation is thick and bulky, so I strip it all off.
 

 
I cut it to lay out the routing.
 

 
Since I’m mounting the relay, I ordered some welded nuts to try them out.
I don’t weld much, so it got scorched again… hmm.
Good thing the outer diameter is large.
 

 
The relay is Taiwan-made, so hmm… This time I fixed the relay with bolts. ★
For example, if it’s a new battery case setup, I wouldn’t bolt it down but instead use an OEM-style rubber mount.
 

 
Clean and not sticking out. ★
 

 
I adjusted the headlight beam before the change,
 

 
and adjusted it again after… it’s subtle.
Even after changing the bulb, there’s not much change…
Is it a focus issue?
