Well, the thing is, we don’t have a chain block, which really gives us trouble at the shop—especially when removing the front and rear legs of the aluminum frame.
We came up with a clever idea and, under the guise of welding practice, welded a plate down to use as a base.
We squeeze the muffler out of the way and lift it using the wide surface of the oil pan.
As always, we end up with towels everywhere.
To be safe, we removed all the fairings.
It’s amazing.
Just for the horn bracket—this ribbing, this bend, these weight-saving holes.
