Inazuma 1200 Oil-cooled Maintenance / Front Maintenance

 

 
All right, let’s get to the oil-cooled maintenance!
If this rattles when you shake it, it needs replacement.
It might be easier to understand if you think of the rear wheel sprocket damper.

It was pretty tough to get off….
What was that stuff painted on there?
 

 
No cam seizing, looks good.
 

 
The condition is pretty solid overall.
 

 
It won’t open all the way—bummer.
 

 
There’s no vacuum port, so we took it off and checked it visually.
 

 
Here’s the culprit!
 

 
Cut it short and skip the lock nut—that’s the sweet spot.
You keep that solid click feel at full close while also getting full open.
All done!
