Set this cigarette lighter to “power on with main key” and done
I just didn’t like the look of it, so…
Took it apart to see if I could do something about it…but there’s really nothing to be done.
Wow, what a wild design! But why don’t Japanese manufacturers go with the flared type?
The flared type is clearly cooler looking

I always wonder about that “black and white equals ground” thing—I’d feel better if they used different colors.

If you mill the button head with a round bit, it looks like an MV screen bolt
I went ahead and drilled a hole
Weld nut M4×3, the thicker one ★
No need to secure it with a nut from the back, and it becomes floating too ◎
Routed the wiring so it doesn’t show
Full lock and it’s good to go
It’s barely waterproofed, so it’s best to insert it in the direction that goes in easily
So, how many amps maximum do you all typically draw from the cigarette lighter?
GPS and phone charging?
I wasn’t sure, so I played it safe and finished it at 1.25A for 250W.
Personally, I think “thin wiring, small connectors” looks cooler.
That’s what I believe.
