This is the labor charge for having to go to the inspection center one more time just to receive the inspection certificate.
How to request the Flat-Rate Motorcycle Inspection
1) Please make an intake reservation by email or phone.
(Please let us know the vehicle, inspection expiration date, and whether any additional work is needed.)
2) Please prepare the following 4 items.
• Inspection certificate
• (Renewal Inspection) tax payment certificate with remaining valid period (receipts not accepted)
• Compulsory automobile liability insurance (your current policy)
• Inspection fee ¥44,000
3) On your scheduled intake date, please confirm all 4 items and bring them with your vehicle.
Frequently asked questions
Q: My exhaust and other parts are not stock. Is the price the same?
A: Everything is included—¥44,000 flat-rate. ★
Q: Should I bring the removed stock parts with me?
A: Generally not necessary, but tandem seats and emissions-controlled vehicles may require them in some cases, so please let us know.
Q: I lost my tax payment certificate. What should I do?
A: You can obtain a replacement free of charge at the ward office where your address is registered (if payment has been made).
Recently, you can also arrange it by mail, so please check your ward office’s website.
If you forget it on the day, you will be charged an additional ¥6,000 labor fee.
Q: When can I get the inspection?
A: One month before the “inspection expiration date” shown in the lower left of your inspection certificate.
As a special exception, you can also get it one month and two weeks before, so please let us know if that applies.
