Bandit 1200 Mini Maintenance and Alpha

 

 
It’s getting warmer, so here’s some maintenance.
 

 
The shift shaft is leaking fluid.
It’s not pressed in very tight, so with an L-shaped ear pick–like tool
it comes out easily if you pull evenly.
 

 
The shaft is dirty, so wash it, wipe it down, and protect it before reassembling.
Apply grease to the oil seal and install it! You can push it in with your finger.
When you push the shaft,
a bird’s-foot-like ratchet on the clutch side will come loose, so be careful! Don’t push it.
 

 
Customer wants to replace the clutch cylinder cup ★
It’s not so much worn as corroded…
I thought about various service options, but they were all borderline so I scrapped them.
