The showcase that kept our drinks nice and cold
has finally given up the ghost.
It’s barely blowing cold air anymore, and the switch keeps cycling on and off, running up the electric bill…
I knew I had to replace it before the heat set in, so I ordered one, but it took forever to arrive.
It finally showed up this morning. Since it was just sitting around taking up space, I decided to swap it in right away!
But first, since it’s used, I had to wash and wipe it down completely—took two hours…
The hot showcase was pretty dirty too, so I cleaned everything up.
It’s looking pretty nice now ★
As for the old showcase, the scrap metal dealer said
“Just take the glass out and you’re good to go,” so I took it apart.
I cut the long pieces with a contour cutter and cleaned it all up ★
And before I knew it, it was already evening!
Being the penny-pincher I am, I did a quick comparison—wow, this thing is super fuel-efficient!
Almost half the power consumption, maybe…
