So, the Incase Ari Marcopoulos Camera Bag CL58033 I picked up the other day—
I’ve been using it hard for outings and commuting
and sure enough, there are “good points” and “not-so-good points.”
Good points
Getting the camera and lenses in and out is easy.
It’s quick and convenient to swing it around from messenger-bag carry to front-facing position.
It’s not as tiring as I expected (better to keep it under 4 kg).
Not-so-good points
It’s what you’d expect for the price, so it can’t be helped, but it feels cheaper than I thought.
There’s no waist support, so—
Once you go over about 4 kg, the bag sags down toward your hips and your shoulders hurt like crazy.
If you attach a tripod, you can’t carry it on your shoulder (it’s unsafe), so you have to hand-carry it.
A D7000 camera with 17–55 and 70–200 lenses plus a compact is about the limit before it gets uncomfortable.
When I took this with a 2.5 kg tripod attached and went to Meguro River, it was rough.
So in the end, I ended up needing another one.
