Brake hose fabrication ★ We always make them fully extended with just a little margin.
I often see bikes with off-the-shelf brake hoses installed,
and they’re twisted too much.
They don’t hang loose like a string dropped from above.
Kinked and twisted hoses put a lot of stress on the fittings, so please have them fixed.
Unless otherwise specified, we branch into three directions with a “Tee FIT with lugs.”
The parts are a bit pricey, but the hose going to the handlebar is just one line,
and the caliper branches below the stem, so the caliper is easy to service,
and if you change the handlebar, you only need to remake the section above the branch (handlebar side), which is flexible,
and even if you make the section above the branch (handlebar side) a bit longer for flexibility,
the hose layout between the stem and calipers doesn’t change, so it looks clean ★
I think it looks best when the hoses are connected with the minimum necessary length, symmetrically, and without twisting ★
