Errands sure do pile up in the same places, don’t they?
So, about that broken exhaust pipe bolt we mentioned.
There was just a tiny bit of the head sticking out between #2 and #3,
so we asked if a master could just put a nut on it and weld it—easy peasy—
or something like that.
Unfortunately, welding didn’t work… no good.
So we had to choose: remove the head, or leave it as is?
Since drilling straight through is scary if you mess up,
Ⅰ Master Yama made a jig called the “Straight-Drilling Kura-kun Super”
and got it out for us. Amazing as always! ★
It’s cheaper than removing the head and pulling out the bolt,
but the lesson is: if it breaks, it costs a lot.
Always coat your exhaust pipe bolts with something like Neverseze or Wako's thread compound, okay? ★
