Front maintenance (stem+) request. (This time there will be no fork oil change.)
I checked inventory and found an upper seal in stock. Since no one else seems to be coming in, I’ll go ahead and do the work.
Quite a bit of oil has blown out.
Both upper and lower show no significant wear. It looks like they’ve been replaced once already.
I’ll pull it out with a puller that’s convenient in theory but not so much in practice. It’s the manufacturer’s genuine puller, but it doesn’t work on many models.
Let’s clean off the dirt around the neck while we’re at it. I’ll clean the spots that can’t be reached without disassembly. Please clean the areas you can reach yourself with care and affection.
The upper side shows no wear and is in good condition.
