The customer brought the bearings,
Stem side seal and washer
Top side race (the mounting side) is missing, so we’re reusing the old one.
The replacement went smoothly,
Does the top bridge really have such a small press-fit margin?
It’s a bit of a worrying part.
The fork is bent! We straightened it out ★
The steering adjustment was hard to get just right,
We spent about an hour tuning it,
And adjusted the wheel bearing play as well,
Then switched it to a quick fastener.
