To change the oil, we also have to remove the muffler.
So we took it off, changed the oil, and—
Before putting the cowl and muffler back on, we lifted it from below and adjusted the steering.

Since I wasn’t sure how it was made, I checked the parts list on Bikers Station to confirm.
Is it the ball bearing type that was common back in the day?
Somehow we got the steering working smoothly ☆
When turning the handlebars, the wires and cables hit the cowl bracket, so we rerouted them.
We also swapped out the bullet connectors for proper connectors.
We cleaned the front and rear calipers and then flushed the fluid.
Rolling it by hand is incredibly light now ☆
