I couldn’t ride my bike at all last week because of the typhoon,
so I felt restless, and last night I gave up because of the strong winds…
Today was my only chance!
So my next destination was Grandma’s Harajuku—Sugamo!
Actually, I’d never been there before, so I was really looking forward to it.
When I arrived… it was surprisingly close. Bummer.
The area around the station had that typical run-of-the-mill vibe,
and there were more young people than I expected…
If I could just get to the “Togenuki Jizo” statue… if only I could…
It was smaller than I thought.
The Sugamo Jizo Shopping Street was pretty ordinary too…
I was disappointed, so I headed to the next spot…
