I’ve been steadily working on fixing up the bicycle.
I want to properly restore each one.
Because of the inner cable, the lever action was really poor, so I didn’t skimp and went with DURA".
The return action improved dramatically and it’s working great.
I also swapped the sprocket for an aluminum one, so I don’t think we’ll have any chain drops now.
Since I’m running a single front ring, the bolt and nut length changes, so I was having to machine them down on the lathe one by one.
I should have just used “track-style” ones…
I wasted so much time on that. ★
I also spent over an hour cleaning off the old cement to swap the tires.
Finally done.
Next I’ll think about the chain guide and final drive, then call this one complete.
