Sure, you could use lubricant from the outside, but it’ll just fly off, right?
That’s why you disassemble it. When it becomes “something you must do,” it feels heavy mentally, you know?
Remove the throttle cable and lubricate it too, or if you’re lazy, just pop off the cover and use lubricant—that works fine.
Well, occasionally doing a light disassembly and check like this is one approach…
