It came with a Brembo Racing caliper already installed…
I gave the brakes a decent test and… they don’t work well. They’re heavy too.
The stroke gets jerky around the middle…
I figured that’s just how Harleys are, but when I looked at the support…
It’s so thin! What is this?
I measured it and the fork-side wall thickness is only 7.5 mm.
That can’t be right. It might break eventually, so I’m making a new one.
Version 1 failed spectacularly because I measured carelessly.
Version 2, I got serious and made it 25 mm thick, and changed the mounting method too!
All told, I spent nearly four hours on this…
Now I just need to deburr it and head home.
