Now, I’ve tried all kinds of grease over the years, but~
Softer grease works better, but it leaks when it gets hot.
But is it because modern grease is better? I’m not sure?
Newtech’s NC-100 is showing really excellent results.
The handling is light and responsive, and there’s very little fluid leakage.
Fluid leakage = the frame gets hot from the heat, the grease liquefies and leaks out (I made up that name myself).
Back in the day I used hard grease to prevent leaks, but it was still so-so.
If you assemble it properly, the handlebar won’t stay straight even when the bike is on the side stand.
*Some bikes have seals that don’t work well, so don’t get confused.
*It also depends on the angle of the side stand.
