I haven’t seen a cam that’s actually seized recently.
It’s often said that cams seize easily, and I think that’s true.
But I also think it’s true that some people seize cams and others don’t.
It’s hard to tell the reason for this, and there’s no clear prevention strategy yet.
Well, this bike’s condition is good too.
There was no seizing and no major valve clearance deviation (I made sure to adjust it precisely).
The cam chain was in good shape too—but the timing was way off, and the moment I started the engine, I thought, oh no.
Yeah!
The engine damper was worn too, so I think this will really bring it back to life. ♪
