With nuts, even if they strip or break, you can just pull out the stud and work around it, but…
When the bolt rusts and seizes, it’s a real problem!
I’ve dealt with this twice before. One bike was a total loss, and on the other I had to drop the engine!
Standard steel bolts don’t have heat-resistant grease applied to them, so if they haven’t been removed in a while
they rust and seize up. Even the stock bolts would be fine if you just coat them well with heat-resistant grease, you know?
But you want them to look nice, right? You want them to shine!
So here’s what we do…
