Weekend Fishing Competition—Nariri’s Tale

I’ve gotten hooked on fishing ponds. And by drawing various people into epic battles over the catch,
I hope we can deepen our friendships with everyone! (Sorry, just kidding.)
So yesterday I closed the shop early at around 4:30 on a whim and headed to Ichigaya! Four of us total competing for the best catch♪
Decoboco rules! Basically, the losers split that day’s drinks and food costs by percentage.
Yesterday it was 1st place 0%, 2nd place 10%, 3rd place 30%, 4th place 60% cost share!
Nothing was biting! There were tons of customers! Absolutely packed, but nobody was catching anything!
The boss suddenly landed one right away and took the lead. I got one a bit later too.
After that, nothing for a whole hour! Since it really wasn’t happening, I started fishing around in different spots.
That paid off—I ended up with 4 fish weighing 4 kilos (an unusually low record) and took 1st place!
The boss with 3 fish weighing 3 kilos came in 2nd
Murayama, the former fishing club member, got 1 fish weighing 1 kilo for 3rd place
That was the result! We all told the first-time participant in 4th place “Thanks for the meal!♪”
