Finally got around to installing the infrared sensor.
It’s an improved version of what I installed before. I drilled out the center with a hole saw to save weight!
Reduced the wall thickness by 0.5 mm for even more weight savings!
Fixed it with a Weld nut so one tool does the job!!
But the weight went up anyway…
The new sensor has a bolt-mount bracket too, and it’s got white lettering on it—nice!!
Now what to do about the boots…
