Ever since the fire incident, we’ve been thinking about countermeasures every day. A crash can be fixed with repairs, but if it catches fire, it’s just scrap!
It’s really a problem. Carburetors overflow when they tip over, so we install a gasoline catch tank,
and then swap in a Pingel petcock so we can quickly turn it to “off”, and apply heat-resistant tape (the thin
stuff) to the back of the tank. If possible, a carbon silencer would help suppress ignition too.
