I Want to Tell You This

I don’t need to mention that I went out on the GSF the other day.
Since there was no gas in it, I went to a nearby ENEOS to fill up! ♪
Premium, full tank! The attendant was staring at the bike for some reason—it happens all the time—so I looked at the road
and gave off a vibe that I didn’t want to chat.
Attendant: Um, this is a Hornet, right?
Me: I hesitated for a moment—should I ignore him, come up with a joke, or just answer honestly?
Me: It’s a GSF! I answered.
Attendant: Oh…
Me: [This guy doesn’t know the GSF!] Well, whatever, and I looked at the road again.
Attendant: Um…
Me: Huh? [This guy’s annoying.]
Attendant: Why did you modify it like this?
Me: …I mean, what kind of question is that? I didn’t know how to answer.
Me: Oh, I run it on the track. (Pretty half-hearted, honestly annoyed.)
Attendant: Oh, that’s why the meter is digital!
Me: [The meter has nothing to do with it!] …Yeah, I replied.
I’m never going back there.
There was another time I went to a gas station with the GS1000S. Anyone with a sharp eye will figure this out.
Oh, this is an Impulse, right? My buddy rides one too!
Me: Yeah, that’s right! ♪ It’s gotta be the 400, the 400! Water-cooled is the best, I answered.
Attendant: The Impulse really is nice!
Me: [I hate this guy! I want to leave.]
The older attendant was staring too, and he brought the receipt over to the young attendant and said, “It says 1000 here
on the side…”
Attendant: Oh! I’m sorry, it’s 1000, right? I’m sorry!
Me: [Well, even if you apologize, it’s weird.] No, no, don’t worry about it at all! ♪
It’s a 400!
And I remembered that moment! It’s nice to keep the conversation going and have some friendly rapport, but if they don’t know, they should just use simpler
adjectives to give compliments.
