This is the sequel.
This time it’s the lower part… The spring has a somewhat subtle color to it.
If a test ride shows no issues with the rate, we’ll repaint it black.
There’s a bushing attached to the body so the spring doesn’t rub even when it contacts, but there’s some kind of odd pattern on it.
Was it melted and poured into a mold? It’s unclear, but it has that “nyoooiin” feel to it.
Of course there’s no actual unevenness or anything. It’s just appearance—some people might care about it, some might not.
The lower suspension mount has an “extension side” damper (this one also has knurling and click-click action).
And it’s got ride height adjustment too ★
The back side of the end eye still has raw machining marks on it.
Plenty of handmade character, that’s for sure.
