Since I had shopping to do, realistically I went via Ebisu and Daikanyama.
Lunch was Nepalese food at “Salty Mode” in Ebisu.
On the fifth floor of the building—isn’t it more like a shot bar?—
No menu, just curry, they said—and I was like, uh, okay…
But then I got hooked on this indescribable spiced curry ★ The sides were spicy too, yo!
Though the portion seemed a bit small—
Since the portion was a little small, I headed to “Hiiragi,” a taiyaki shop.
I’d heard rumors that taiyaki causes huge crowds, so I decided to check it out.
But around 1 p.m. on a weekday, there was nobody there…
They only had red bean flavor.
Let’s dig in—★ Crunch!
Whoa! I expected a soft taiyaki, but it’s crispy!
The red bean filling is subtly sweet—a sophisticated taste.
“Tea Espresso HATEA”—tea brewed with an espresso machine.
I went in to buy tea leaves but they didn’t have any… Well, let me try it anyway!

I went to “FOOT STEP” to see if there was anything interesting.
Even though I hadn’t been there in two years, they remembered my name and said “Welcome back!” ★

“Lupicia Bon Marché”
A shop that offers tea, sweets, tableware and other items that have no quality issues but are being discarded due to approaching expiration dates or poor appearance—Bon Marché (French for “bargain”).
It used to be a regular Lupicia, but the store had a completely different look now.
As long as I could buy tea, it was fine, so I asked the staff member: “Did the regular Lupicia that was here before close down?”
And they replied…
It’s now Lupicia Bon Marché—we’ve rebranded, they said…

A space that carries Bodum products and also has a café.
