Well, the rain just won’t let up.
I popped off the head cover to take a look, and hmm…
It’s pretty clean, isn’t it!
There’s a little bit of scuffing, but nothing to worry about—it’s within acceptable limits. I went ahead and adjusted it.
The cam chain is running a bit loose, so I adjusted it by hand.
With a spring like this, you can’t get proper tension—and just cranking up the rate isn’t the answer either.
The engine damper is showing some wear, and I’m guessing this might be the first time it’s been replaced.
The generator damper, on the other hand, hasn’t worn much at all.
Anyway, I swapped it out for a new one and tightened everything up properly.
The rear wheel is turning heavy, and it feels like there might be a few things going on there.
Hmm…
